Ocean Brown Isochrysis; qt.
Isochrysis is a genus of phytoplankton that make for an excellent food source for many filter-feeding organisms. It can be used to “fertilize” stocking tanks for rotifers, copepods, and various shrimp species. This algae is a prized food source because of it’s high concentration of fatty acids, which growth in species that have a high kilocalorie consumption rate (such as mandarin dragonets and dartfish). By feeding this to rotifers and copepods, mysids, etc, then feeding those to your fish, you transfer all those desirable nutrients. This keeps your fish happy and healthy!
