Freshwater Ghost Shrimp

Marine Ghost Shrimp

Our marine ghost shrimp (also commonly known as grass or marsh shrimp) make excellent live feeders and/or aesthetic additions to your home aquarium. Ghost shrimp are also excellent cleaners eating algae, detritus and uneaten food in your aquarium. Enriching your animal’s diet with live foods prompts them to behave more naturally than a diet of prepared foods.

Our ghost shrimp reach a maximum of 1.5″ and are peacefully communal with one another when they are of similar size. They can tolerate salinity as low as 12 ppt.

Fun Fact: The presence of grass shrimp is a great environmental indicator of the good health in wild ecosystems, because their health is heavily dependent on water quality, as are the plants they live among.
